Some years just hit different.
2025 was one of those.
It wasn’t about hype or chasing the next big thing. It was about consistency. Showing up. Cold mornings, salt-stiff hands, and the quiet satisfaction that comes from doing things the right way—over and over again. That’s how this year felt for us at IPD.
From winter swells lighting up familiar sandbars to long summer days that blurred together in the best way possible, 2025 reminded us why we do this. Why we build gear meant to last. Why we keep our circle tight. Why the ocean will always be the common thread that pulls us forward.
We saw a lot of miles this year. Early drives before sunrise. Late returns with boards still strapped on, wetsuits drying in the dark. We chased waves when it made sense and stayed home when it didn’t. New Jersey showed up more than once—cold, honest, and unforgiving if you weren’t paying attention. The kind of place that doesn’t hand out sessions for free, but rewards patience and timing. Just how we like it.
On the product side, 2025 felt like a turning point. We doubled down on pieces that live with you—flannels that get softer with every wear, fleece that’s just as at home on a windblown beach as it is around a backyard fire, tees that don’t quit after one season. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just solid gear built for real use.
The Evergreen Flannel became a staple for a reason. The Gully Beanie found its way into more cold-water sessions than we can count. And seeing our stuff worn the way it’s meant to be worn—salt-stained, sun-faded, broken in—never gets old.
But more than anything, 2025 was about people.
The friends who paddled out when it was barely breaking. The crew who stuck around after the surf went flat. The customers who supported us, tagged us, told our story without us ever having to ask. That kind of support isn’t something we take lightly. It’s the backbone of everything we do.
We don’t measure success in trends or timelines. We measure it in trust. And this year, that trust showed up in a big way.
As we roll into the next chapter, we’re carrying the same mindset with us: keep it simple, keep it honest, and stay connected to the water. There’s more on the horizon—new gear, new stories, more miles—but the foundation stays the same.
2025 was a good year.
Not perfect. Not polished.
Just real.
Thanks for being part of it.
