At IPD, we’re all about fit, and we’ve created a platform to help you get into the right board shorts, every time. Our chassis are named after iconic roads that lead to surf, pulling inspiration from each and putting our signature twist on them. Our fits have become favorites of all our ambassadors, with some opting for the longer fits, some for the shorter, some for the classic 18” straight, others for the 18” scallop. The A1 highway in Australia runs along some of the most high performance waves in Australia. Perfectly groomed man made sandbanks and surfing royalty all hail from this stretch of beach known as the Gold Coast. Using this slice of surfers paradise as our muse, we designed the A1 fit as our most performance driven fit, constructed from input of all our global team riders and designed to log some serious water time.
Highway 83, or Kamehameha Highway, slithers along the most famous stretch of coastline in the world, the North Shore of Oahu. Known for world class waves, beautiful beaches and aloha, the 83 inspired us to build timeless board shorts with fun patterns and tactile quality.
The B100, aka the Great Ocean Road. This road stretches along an iconic stretch of Australian coastline, and we took inspiration from it to create board shorts that salute surfings heritage, while using the best modern materials and construction.
California has always been a tastemaker for style, and the 1 fit embodies just that. Equal parts edge, style and performance, this short will get it done in the water or on the beach.
The 101 highway in our home state of California is pretty much a longer version of the 1 (at one point it merges with the 1), and runs up the coast all the way to the northern tip. It only made sense to have this fit have everything we’ve come to love about the HWY 1 fit, just a bit longer.
Europe is known for some of the greatest beaches and beach breaks in the world, and the A63 connects to a number of them between France and Spain. Built for fun on the beach or in the water, the A63 is perfect for the casual day at the beach, or on the couch.
