At IPD, we love all board sports. While we were born from surf, much like skateboarding and snowboarding, the board culture of all three lifestyles is deeply intertwined with the DNA of IPD. All three of these disciplines require lots of practice, losing some skin, and the art of riding these boards consuming most of the person's free time outside work.
With all that being said, there are so many of our ambassadors that love to rip in all three terrains: water, pow, and concrete. And of course, we make gear for the three terrains (see board shorts, shirts, fleece, and jackets). Most put surfing at the forefront, but are always keen to switch it up, especially with the fact that you can’t always surf. Most flock to the mountains when the snow is good, and then hit the streets or skatepark when nature just isn’t providing. The good thing is, if you are pretty good at one, you most likely can pick up the other ones pretty fast! Especially in California, you could pull off doing all three in the same day, something not many other states could claim.
We decided to create a video series highlighting our ambassadors that thrive in all three sports (or in some cases, maybe only 2). We’ve created two episodes so far, highlighting Corey Pool and Caleb Crozier. Both tackle all three terrains and board sports with style and aggression. ATV stands for all terrain vehicle, talking to the ambassador ripping on any terrain. Watch these two any time you might go for a surf, skate, or snow session. Just make sure to pack IPD along the way, whether it be board shorts for the surf, tees and shirts for the sidewalks, or fleece and jackets for the pow.
